1963-2003: 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF AMADE
 
A tribute to the Princess Grace of Monaco
On 25 April 2003, members of the Board of Directors and delegates of the national affiliates of AMADE paid an unofficial tribute to HSH Princess Grace of Monaco, founder of AMADE in 1963, by laying a bouquet on her gravestone in the cathedral of Monaco and paying a silent homage to her memory.

The General Assembly

The General Assembly of AMADE was convened on 23-25 April 2003 to adopt the new statutes of the organization and discuss the progress report presented by Jacques Danois, Secretary-General of AMADE.

A charity recital Concert

On the special occasion of the 40th anniversary of AMADE, Maître Bruno Leonardo Gelber, piano, and Maître Vadim Repin, violon, gave a unique recital concert in favour of AMADE.

AMADE gala dinner

The 2003 AMADE Gala dinner took place in the Salle Empire of the Hôtel de Paris in Monaco. The 250 guests joined HRH the Princess of Hanover in the celebration and enjoyed the fashion show presented by Akris Monaco.

International Round Table on
"Crimes against the child, crimes against humanity"

The international Round Table on 'Crimes against the Child, Crimes against Humanity' organised by the World Association of Children's Friends (AMADE), held under the patronage of UNESCO in Monaco on 25-26 April 2003, assembled a group of experts in international humanitarian and criminal law, specialising in the Rights of the Child, together with representatives of international bodies and non-governmental organizations.

The purpose of the meeting was to explore the various sources of incrimination for crimes against humanity within the context of current international criminal law and identify every possible route for future qualification of the most serious crimes against children as crimes against humanity.
