The World Association of Children’s Friends (AMADE) has launched its new official website on Friday 16 January 2004 at 10.30 am in the Mediterranean room of the Sea Club-Méridien Beach Plaza Hotel in Monaco.

The ceremony took place in the presence of HSH Crown Prince Albert of Monaco, Honorary President of AMADE, and HE Mr. Patrick Leclerq, Minister of State, Principality of Monaco. The presentation of the new AMADE website was followed with a cocktail party.

In launching its new website AMADE would like to pay a tribute to all its dedicated members and volunteers and provide a better information about its many projects worldwide. As a mean of attracting greater publicity to the work performed by our organisation, the internet has become a key element in our communication and fundraising policy as well as an operational tool to raise public awareness of child-related issues across all the countries covered by the vast network of AMADE national affiliates.

Providing AMADE with a modern communication medium will also allow the organisation to approach all those, whether locally or internationally, who share our values, our goals and interest in promoting the fundamental rights of the child in every aspect of contemporary society.
