The AMADE Award
This year still, a special Prize AMADE aimed to reward a programme which deals with an issue of human relationships, whose treatment and plot or action do not feature violence but encourage its rejection.
The AMADE jury 2006 was presided by Maria Grazia Cucinotta and composed of Bridgette Radebe, Francis Kasasa (Secrétaire Général de l'AMADE Mondiale) Francis Kasasa (Secretary General of AMADE Mondiale) and Jean Kerwat (member of the Executive Committee of AMADE Mondiale)

The 2006 AMADE Prize goes to the African School series, directed by Nicki Stocker and Sarah Hamilton (Lion Television, United Kingdom).

This groundbreaking and uncompromising series captures the real daily lives and concerns of young ugandan children and of their teachers, in the town of Masindi.
