CHARITY GALA TO THE BENEFIT OF AMADE MONDIALE
 

Luxury and refinement serving the cause of the child: so was the point of this evening Gala organised by AMADE Mondiale in the Empire room of the Hotel of Paris, under the Presidence and in the presence of H.R.H. The Princess of Hanover, President of AMADE Mondiale, and in the presence of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince Albert II.
Mr Andrea Casiraghi, son of H.R.H. The Princess of Hanover, and H.E. Mr. Jean-Paul Proust, Minister of State of the Principality, have also honoured the evening by being present.

This magnificent dinner brought together some prestigious guests, such as Karl Lagerfeld, Jimmy Cliff or Sonia Rolland, mobilized around the cause of the less fortunate children.
High rank personalities joined this event, like H.R.H. the Duke of Bourbon, Their Royal Highnesses the Prince and the Princess Serge of Yougoslavia, the countess of Amelio or the Prince Carlo Giovanelli.
Lead by Frédéric Mitterrand, Master of Ceremony, the dinner was opened by the showing of a touching movie about suffering children from Manila meeting H.R.H. The Princess of Hanover, on the occasion of Her journey to Philippines in october 2004.


Next, the present guests watched a message of courage and hope by Mr Nelson Mandela, especially recorded for the event. AMADE Mondiale was keen to pay a tribute to Mr Nelson Mandela, by delivering him an honorary diploma.
H.R.H. The Princess of Hanover delivered the certificate to Mrs Bridgette Radebe, expressly came from South Africa to represent Mr Mandela.
The main event of the evening was an auction, organised by Sotheby's and brilliantly orchestrated by H.R.H. the Duke Philipp of Württemberg.
This way, three magnums of Lanson champagne have been sold, H.S.H. Albert II special vintage, signed by the hand of the Prince Sovereign.
The master piece of the auction was a magnificent set of jewellery AMADE, given, created and especially designed by Alberto Repossi, inspirating of the colours and the logo of the association.
This set was composed of a brooche, a pair of earrings and a ring, mixing ancient emeralds from Colombia, rubellites and diamonds.
At the end of the evening, the guests have been given some perfumes, courtesy of Chanel. They also received booklets presenting them the fight lead by AMADE Mondiale for the benefit of the children.
400.000 Euros have been raised thanks to the participants to this evening. Theses funds will be used to finance the programmes and actions supported by AMADE Mondiale worldwide.
