The monacan delegation and HRH The Princess of Hanover arrived in Lubumbashi on monday 5 february in the evening, meeting there Mrs. Janine Fierens, President of AMADE Congo.

On the next day, all its members started several visits from Lubumbashi to Kapolowe and Mulandi, where the smiles and the singings of the congolese children were expecting them.

06/02 - After greeting the new Governor of Katanga, Mr. Moïse Katumbi, the Princess of Hanover visited the Sendwe Hospital, the second largest hospital in the country.

AMADE Congo has brought a precious help to its paediatric section. Her Royal Highness talked with the Director of the Hospital, the Dr. Stani Wembonyama, over the needs of the Hospital and the work already accomplished.

The Princess of Hanover also visited the "City of Young Girl", where She was given a very touching welcome from the children living there. Then, She visited the new premises of the Maternal Tutorial Section, and the Kisangala crèche, both beneficiaries of the support of AMADE Congo.

The afternoon was dedicated, in the University of Lubumbashi, to the visit of the CRAA - "Centre de recherches agro-alimentaires" -, a food processing research centre, primordial for preventing infantile malnutrition. Founded by Professor Paul Fierens, the CRAA contributes, despite limitated resources, to the development of food especially suitable for mothers and children.
The first day was concluded with a courtesy visit to the city's Mayor, Mr. Floribert Kaseba.
