05 - 09 FEBRUARY: VISITING D.R.C.
The monacan delegation and HRH The Princess of Hanover arrived in Lubumbashi on monday 5
february in the evening, meeting there Mrs. Janine Fierens, President of AMADE Congo.
On the next day, all its members started several visits from Lubumbashi to Kapolowe and
Mulandi, where the smiles and the singings of the congolese children were expecting them.

- After greeting the new Governor of Katanga, Mr. Moïse Katumbi, the Princess of Hanover visited the
Sendwe Hospital, the second largest hospital in the country.
AMADE Congo has brought a precious help to its paediatric section. Her
Royal Highness talked with the Director of the Hospital, the Dr. Stani
Wembonyama, over the needs of the Hospital and the work already
accomplished.

The Princess of Hanover also visited the "City of Young Girl", where
She was given a very touching welcome from the children living there.
Then, She visited the new premises of the Maternal Tutorial Section,
and the Kisangala crèche, both beneficiaries of the support of AMADE
Congo.

The afternoon was dedicated, in the University of Lubumbashi, to the
visit of the CRAA - "Centre de recherches agro-alimentaires" -, a food
processing research centre, primordial for preventing infantile
malnutrition. Founded by Professor Paul Fierens, the CRAA contributes,
despite limitated resources, to the development of food especially
suitable for mothers and children.
The first day was concluded with a courtesy visit to the city's Mayor, Mr. Floribert Kaseba.

07/02 - The following day, the delegation
travelled to Kapolowe. Her Royal Highness was welcomed with the
singings of hundreds of children from different schools, gathered for
the occasion in the school of Kapwanino.After the dancing and
performances by the children, illustrating important messages about
health and nutrition, the Princess of Hanover made a stop at the new
medical office for the area, financed by AMADE Congo.
The final step took place in Likasi, at the "Princess Caroline
Pre-School". There again, singing and dancing were ensured by the
children, for the pleasure of the delegation members.

08/02 - The last day of our President in
Democratic Republic of the Congo included a visit, in Mulandi, of the
buildings of a new school, comprising six class rooms entirely
furnished and equipped with educational material by AMADE Congo.
A visit to the recently renovated health centre has been made as a
conclusion. On the next day, Her Royal Highness headed for the last
step of Her journey: South Africa.
