In the year 2008 takes place the 45th anniversary of the World Association of Children's Friends, body created in 1963 by the Princess Grace. 45 years after which the purpose is not to congratulate for what has been done, but to focus even more on what is still to be done for the needful ones.  Such was the spirit reigning during our General Assembly and the gala that gathered the members of AMADE family, field actors and essential supports, on 11th April 2008 at the Hotel de Paris, Monaco; all the guests also joined to celebrate the 15 years of H.R.H. The Princess of Hanover as President of AMADE Mondiale.

Many personalities rallied around H.S.H. Prince Albert II and Their Royal Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Hanover, such as Their Royal Highnesses the Prince and Princess of  Bourbon-Siciles, the Prince Paul and the Princess Lia of Roumania, H.E. Mister and Mrs Jacques Boisson, H.E. Mister and Mrs Jean-Claude Michel, H.E. Mister and Mrs Jean Pastorelli, Mister and Mrs Stéphane Valéri, Mister and Mrs Paul Masseron, Mister and Mrs Georges Lisimachio, Mister and Mrs Jean-Jacques Campana, Mister and Mrs Manolo Veladini, Mrs Khadja Nin Ickx, or Mrs Bridgette Radebe.

H.R.H. The Princess of Hanover offically "graduated" several AMADE's friends; the honorary certificates have been delivered to Mister Pieter Bogaardt, Mister Etienne Franzi (President of the Compagnie Monégasque de Banque) and Mrs Simonetta Doni, in recognition of their commitment and their support.

Under the direction of Mrs Jo-Ann Strauss and Mr. Jean-Christophe Dimino, Masters of Ceremony, lthe evening alternated between memories of the past activities and planification of the future actions.
A fashion show took place between the tables of the Empire Room, courtesy of the italian designers Grimaldi and Giardina. Warm and relaxed, the mood got even better as singers MNLK and Moïse got up on stage, sharing a few songs and musical sessions with a delighted attendance.

The evening was the opportunity to attribute the International AMADE Press Award 2008. Our Vice-President Jacques Danois delivered the Award to the reporter Pierre-Louis Castelli, for the  show  Interception : "The lost children of Kinshasa" (France Inter), moving testimony of  many congolese children's daylife.
