Our annual General Assembly held on 10 & 11 April 2008 in the Hôtel Métropole.

The 2008 session of our annual General Assembly was a very special one due to the celebration of the 45th anniversary of AMADE.
This was the occasion for all members of the AMADE family to meet in Monaco for two days of work, sharing and planning of the activities to come.

Special speakers
Amongst the participants, Mrs Brigitte Boccone-Pagès presented the issues treated by the National Council of Monaco regarding the protection of children's rights. Mrs Fatimatou Hima developed the common actions of AMADE, Monacan Government and ALDN to hellp the families suffering from sickle-cell anemia in Niger. Doctor Christian Dupuis, as for him, resumed the 2007 session of surgical training, part of the New smile on life program.
Mrs Flavia Shaw-Jackson was also invited to speak ad the Founder and Chairwoman of FACE for Children in need, a NGO working to improve the living condition of orphans and street children in Cairo.
Furthermore, Mrs Anna Getaneh, Founder and Chairwoman of Ethiopian Children's Fund, had the opportunity to present the efforts accomplished by the foundation to the benefit of ethiopian children.
The delegates from the national AMADE affiliates closed the meetings by describing the actions realized during the past year and the projects for year 2008.
Exchanges, sharing of experiences lived in many different countries, here was the point of the meetings, honored by the presence of observers such as Mrs Boisbouvier-Ancian, from the Department of International Affairs, Mr. Froissart, from the Department of International Coopeation, Mr. Aeschbach and Mrs Godeau, from Fight Aids Monaco, or Mrs Khadja Nin Ickx, Mrs Chantal Sobra and Mr. José Touré.
