THE AMADE AWARD IN THE 50th MONTE-CARLO TELEVISION FESTIVAL

The 2010 AMADE Award goes to Temple Grandin (HBO).

The 2010 AMADE Award

The 50th session of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival held from 06 to 10 June 2010 in the Grimaldi Forum.

The 2010 AMADE Award goes to Temple Grandin directed by Mick Jackson (Ruby Films, Gerson Saines Production, in association with HBO Films).

Temple Grandin paints a picture of a young woman's perseverance and determination while struggling with the isolating challenges of autism at a time when it was still quite unknown.

Undaunted by educational, social and professional roadblocks, Grandin turned her unique talent - her understanding of animal behavior - into a behavioral tool that revolutionized the cattle industry and laid the groundwork for her successful career as an author, lecturer and pioneering advocate for autism and autism spectrum disorder education.
