AMADE DRIVES ITS GUESTS "IN THE FIELD"
To bring 150 guests within an atmosphere inspired from the ground, was the theme of the "In the field" gala evening held on 29 April 2010 in the Hotel de Paris, under the presidence and in the presence of H.R.H. The Princess of Hanover, President of AMADE Mondiale, and in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.

An African-inspired show
In an Empire Room decorated by Marco Traverso et Histoire d'Ours, Stéphane Bern put on the outfit of Master of Ceremony with his usual brilliance.
Chants and dancings performed with feeling and passion by the African Children's Choir  moved the attendance and contributed to make the evening a very special moment.
The African Children's Choir is a very famous group frequently involved in international charity events, such as the Nelson Mandela Concert in South Africa or the Live 8 Concert in London.
The atmosphere lightened even more thanks to the voice of Angélique Kidjo, musical artist born in Benin - several times Grammy Award winner and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

Mobilization to the benefit of children
The evening concluded with an auction organised by Sotheby's, represented by H.R.H. Duke Philipp of Württemberg. Several prestigious items were auctioned, including a Horus watch - GENESIS model - specifically designed for AMADE.
A set of jewels offered by Van Cleef & Arpels also found its place in the auction, as well as a pure-silk 210 x 135 cm Iranian carpet, offered by Heritage Carpets on the occasion of the journey of H.R.H. The Princess of Hanover in Dubaï, in November 2009.

The funds raised will be allocated to our programmes in Niger, Burundi, Philippines and Laos.
