MONACO: AMADE participates in a sophisticated seminar on the topic of adoption

As part of the International Day of the Rights of the Child, the Department of External Relations and Cooperation of Monaco, organized on Monday the 23rd of November 2015, a sophisticated seminar, chaired by Bernard Gastaud, Member of the Committee United Nations Children's Rights and member of AMADE, on the theme of "National and International Adoption".

HRH the Princess of Hanover, President of AMADE, took part in the event, and also recalled AMADE and the Principality's committment to protecting children.

The seminar was organized around eleven international experts, including members of the Committee on the Rights of the Child, academics, ombudsmen and representatives of non-governmental organizations.

Mr. Bernard GASTAUD and Mrs. Anne EASTWOOD, High Commissioner for the Protection of Rights, Freedoms and Mediation, acted as moderators.

Notable members in attendance included Minister of State, His Excellency Michel ROGER, Director of Judicial Services, His Excellency Mr. Philippe NARMINO, and the Government Counselors, MM. Gilles TONELLI, Patrice CELLARIO and Stéphane VALERI, French and Italian Ambassadors to Monaco and Ambassadors of Monaco abroad.

In addition, there were numerous government representatives from countries concerned with issues related to adoption, Rights Defenders and representatives of Monegasque and international non-governmental organizations.

Simultaneously, the Princess of Hanover met with Ms. Maud Boer BUQUICCHIO, UN Special Reporter on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography.
