AMADE, the Association Mondiale des Amis de l’Enfance celebrates 60th anniversary on Saturday 14th october 2023 on the stage of the Opéra Garnier de Monte-Carlo

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of AMADE and its co-founding by Princess Grace, AMADE organised a unique Gala Dinner on the stage of the Opéra Garnier. Orchestrated on a voluntary basis by Charles Kaisin, designer of surrealistic dinners, with the generous support of Monte-Carlo SBM, this Gala Dinner was attended by 85 guests who came to celebrate this anniversary and share the ambition of AMADE, an impactful philanthropy leader for childhood protection. The dinner was catered by Chef Marcel Ravin, two-star chef at the Blue Bay in Monaco, who offered a menu composed of courses reminiscent of his childhood.

An exceptional Dinner around 5 scenes, each representing one of the 5 AMADE programs in favour of vulnerable children: Dignity for Women, Energy of Hope, Civil Status for All, Unaccompanied Minors Migrants, Capoeira for Peace. For example, the guests were invited to produce electricity from lemons, copper and zinc to illustrate the Energy of Hope program; to play a game of "connect the dots" to draw a passport, a schoolbag, a diploma... for the Civil Status for All program; or to listen to the Soprano Alexandra Marcellier in her majestic and impressive red dress, to embody the beneficiaries of the Dignity for Women program.

To mark this 60th anniversary, exception was the watchword. The Opéra Garnier of Monaco was utterly transformed to serve as the venue for this prestigious and exclusive event. And quite rightly, the show was as much in the room that usually welcomes the spectators as it was on stage, and around the tables and the guests: extraordinary decorations, waiters in costumes, entertainment and artistic activities at the table... And as there were no kitchens close enough to the Opera, one had to be temporarily built from scratch. The Café de la Rotonde was transformed to welcome Chef Ravin's brigade. It was an unprecedented operation that illustrated everyone's commitment to the success of this wonderful evening in the name of children protection.

It was a dinner filled with generosity, which resulted in a total of €685,150 being raised for AMADE's high-impact programs in ten countries. It was also the occasion for 24 new major donors to join the Circle of Friends of AMADE.

This evening was made possible thanks to the generosity of corporate sponsors who covered the costs of the Dinner's organisation. AMADE would like to thank Banque Richelieu Monaco, Christian Louboutin, JB Pastor & Fils and the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer for their contribution to this anniversary event.
