65 young people under the care of the French Children Social Services have entered the "Réussite Connectée" initiative in Nice and have received a computer as well as an internet connection from the managing director of the Break Poverty Foundation, Mrs Valery DAHER, the President of the Bouygues Telecom corporate foundation, Mr Anthony COLOMBANI, the Regional representative of AFEV, Mr Mathieu PY and the General Secretary of AMADE, Mr Jérôme FROISSART.
The French Secretary of State in charge of Childhood and Familly, Mr Adrien Taquet, took part in the delivery through video conference.
The "Réussite Connectée" initiative carried by the Break Poverty Foundation aims at reducing digital divide and preventing academic disengagement of underprivileged or vulnerable young people.
In addition to an access to digital tools, every beneficiary will be accompanied by a mentor student, who will be supporting him in his learning process, his educational or professional procedures and will also help him open up to new horizons and gain self-confidence.
AMADE got into action during the first lockdown and is now supporting 233 young people in the PACA region, thanks to the commitment of CFM Indosuez Wealth Management by its side.
To this day, 17 000 underprivileged young people have been equiped with digital tools through the Break Poverty Foundation's initiative.
